Adalberto Avalos Cruz was born in the community of San Miguel del Monte, Morelia Michoacan, Mexico and currently works in the Michoacán State Public Security Department Band and lives in the community of San Miguel del Monte

He earned a degree in music from the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo and has been a composer and arranger for regional bands and chamber ensembles since 2015. He also composes traditional Michoacan music, sones, abajeños, sonecitos, etc. and teaches traditional bands for children and youth. In 2022 he collaborated with the Mexican instrumentalist, Faustino Díaz, composing two works for soloist, one for trombone and the other for trumpet.
